The journey

Morocco, experienced with the depth it deserves.

If you want to truly understand Morocco — not just visit it — this is the tour. Thirteen days gives you enough time to move at a pace that lets things sink in: the politics of the imperial cities, the Berber culture of the Atlas, the silence of the Sahara, the medieval world of Fes, the French-Moroccan sophistication of Marrakech, and the windswept bohemian beauty of the Atlantic coast.

This itinerary adds experiences shorter tours simply skip: a full afternoon in Chefchaouen's blue medina, the UNESCO-listed Atlantic port of Essaouira with its sea ramparts and argan oil cooperatives, the haunting Portuguese cistern of El Jadida, and the fresh-oyster lagoon of El Oualidia. From the High Atlas to the Atlantic, this is Morocco end-to-end.

Start and finish anywhere. The route below is the most popular Casablanca round-trip — but every itinerary is built around your flights. Fly into Casablanca and out of Marrakech, arrive Tangier and depart Fes — just tell us your dates and arrival/departure cities, and we'll resequence the days to match.

Six unmissable moments

Tour Highlights

Morocco's greatest experiences, sequenced across 13 days.

Chefchaouen — The Blue Pearl

Morocco's most photogenic city, where every wall, staircase, and flowerpot is painted blue. A full afternoon to wander the dreamlike medina before the day-trippers arrive.

Volubilis — Rome in Africa

A UNESCO Roman city covering 40 hectares with extraordinarily preserved 3rd-century mosaic floors, triumphal arches, and olive presses.

Fes el-Bali Medina

The world's largest medieval urban area — entirely car-free, 9,000 alleyways, and the Chouara Tanneries unchanged since the 11th century.

Erg Chebbi Sahara

Camel trek into 50 km of golden dunes at sunset, dine under the stars in a luxury Berber camp, and wake to the most extraordinary sunrise of your life.

Ait Ben Haddou — UNESCO Kasbah

The iconic mud-brick fortress that appeared in Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and Lawrence of Arabia — walked through with a guide who knows every story.

Essaouira — Atlantic UNESCO Port

A fortified blue-and-white port battered by Atlantic winds. UNESCO-listed medina, artisan workshops, Berber argan-oil cooperatives, and the freshest seafood in Morocco.

Detour to Khamlia village for a deeply moving Gnawa music performance under a goatskin tent. Then arrive at the edge of Erg Chebbi: 50 kilometres of the most spectacular sand dunes in the world. Frequently Asked

The 13-day Discover Morocco tour starts at $2,925 USD per person (group of 3–4, Classic 3-star). Couples pay from $3,445. The Boutique 4-star tier (our most-booked) is $3,445 pp for groups of 3-4 or $4,030 for couples. Luxury 4-5-star is $4,420–$5,200 pp. The Palace & Villa tier (La Mamounia, Royal Mansour) is $7,085–$8,125 pp. All prices are all-inclusive of private driver, licensed guides, daily breakfast, entrance fees, camel trekking, luxury Sahara camp, and airport transfers.

The 13-day tour adds three things shorter itineraries simply don't have time for: a full afternoon in Chefchaouen (the Blue Pearl), the Atlantic coast (Essaouira, Safi, El Jadida and the oyster lagoons of El Oualidia), and a more relaxed pace throughout. You cover Morocco end-to-end — imperial cities, blue mountain villages, Sahara, Atlas, and the Atlantic. Past travelers consistently call the Atlantic coast days a favourite part of the journey.

Essaouira is one of Morocco's great pleasures — a UNESCO-listed fortified Atlantic port with blue-and-white buildings, sea ramparts overlooking the Atlantic, thriving artisan workshops, fresh seafood, and Berber argan oil cooperatives. Cooler, windier, and more bohemian than the inland cities. The 3-hour drive from Marrakech passes through argan tree forests where goats famously climb in the branches — beautiful in itself.

Anywhere you want. The route shown is the most popular round-trip from Casablanca, but every Gateway2Morocco itinerary is fully flexible. Start and finish in Casablanca, Marrakech, Fes, Tangier or any other major Moroccan airport. Tell us your arrival/departure cities and we'll resequence the days.

Yes — many travelers extend the Essaouira portion to two nights to experience the city across different times of day. A morning beach walk before the crowds and the evening sunset on the ramparts are both unforgettable. Just mention it when you request a quote and we'll build it in.

Yes. Morocco is a wonderful solo destination, and traveling with a private driver and licensed guides makes it one of the safest and most rewarding solo experiences available. Solo pricing is offered on all tours. Many of our most enthusiastic past clients have traveled alone.

Not at all. Your driver and licensed local guides speak fluent English and handle all interactions on your behalf — hotel check-ins, restaurant orders, medina navigation. Language is never something you have to worry about.

    Thirteen days. Morocco, fully discovered.
