Brahim was born in Agoudal, a Berber village high in Morocco's High Atlas, grew up on the mountain roads and passes of the Imilchil region, and moved to Vancouver more than two decades ago. He founded Gateway2Morocco Travel in 1999 to solve a problem he kept hearing from North American friends: "I want to visit Morocco — but I want someone I can actually trust to plan it."

In 1999, Brahim Jounh founded Gateway2Morocco Travel to design private Morocco tours for North American travelers, blending Canadian standards with Moroccan local knowledge. By 2005, a full-time ground operations centre was established in Marrakech with in-house drivers, a vetted guide network, and 24/7 client support for travelers in-country.
