Brahim was born in Agoudal, a Berber village high in Morocco's High Atlas, grew up on the mountain roads and passes of the Imilchil region, and moved to Vancouver more than two decades ago. He has worked in Moroccan tourism since 1999 and founded Gateway2Morocco Travel in 2006 to solve a problem he kept hearing from North American friends: "I want to visit Morocco — but I want someone I can actually trust to plan it."
The answer was a hybrid model: a fully licensed Canadian travel agency with consumer protections you'd expect from any local operator, paired with a team of Moroccan natives on the ground who know every imperial city, every Atlas pass, and every desert camp personally.

Brahim started in Moroccan tourism in 1999, guiding and organising trips for visitors across the High Atlas, the imperial cities and the Sahara. The pattern he kept seeing was the same: North American travellers wanted the real country, but had no one on their side of the Atlantic who could plan it, price it and answer for it.
In 2006 he founded Gateway2Morocco Travel to be that person — a Canadian company, run from Burnaby, British Columbia, with a Moroccan team on the ground.
