Hassan Tower

The unfinished minaret of a twelfth-century mosque meant to be the world's largest, the Hassan Tower rises above a field of broken columns on a bluff over the Bouregreg river. You'll walk among the stumps of the great prayer hall, its ambition abandoned at the sultan's death. Paired with the royal mausoleum beside it, it's Rabat's defining monument.
