Our Promise: Licensed Guides, Clear Terms, Booking Direct

The questions North American travellers ask most before choosing a Morocco operator are about trust: Will my guide be licensed? Will I be dragged to shops? Is my money safe? Who is actually running my trip? Here are our answers, in writing.

Your guides

1. Licensed guides, paid by us

Every city visit on our itineraries — Fes, Marrakech, Meknes, Rabat, Volubilis and the other sites on your route — is led by a guide licensed by Morocco’s Ministry of Tourism. We pay them directly, so their only job is to show you their city well.

Your driver-guide is a professional who drives these roads every week, in an insured private vehicle used only by your party for the whole trip. He meets you at the airport and stays with you on every transfer.

No detours

2. No commission shopping stops

The most common complaint about Morocco tours is being taken to carpet showrooms, argan “co-operatives” or leather shops that pay the guide a commission. On our trips that does not happen. If you want to buy a carpet, visit a tannery shop or meet an artisan, tell us and we will take you to people we trust — but nobody else decides how you spend your day.

Your money

3. A licensed Canadian agency, and clear payment terms

Gateway2Morocco Travel is a Canadian travel agency based in Burnaby, British Columbia, licensed by Consumer Protection BC (licence #80460) and accredited by IATA (#96118831).

You pay by credit card, wire transfer or Interac e-Transfer. Our quoted price is the card price, and wire or Interac payments earn a 3% reduction, shown in figures on your proposal. There is no deposit until your itinerary is exactly right; the balance is due 90 days before departure. These are our standard terms — the exact terms that govern your trip are the ones set out in your own trip proposal and confirmation invoice. Read our full terms.

Book direct

4. Book direct with the people who run your trip

Online marketplaces and booking platforms resell tours run by other companies. They take a commission, but they have no say over the hotels, the driver or what happens on the ground when plans need to change.

When you book with us, the people who design your trip are the people who run it. Brahim and our office plan every detail; our Morocco-based team meets you, drives you and is a phone call away every day you travel. One conversation from first idea to airport farewell — and no one in between.

  • A route written for you, night by night, with every hotel named
  • One clear price, with what is and is not included listed up front
  • Changes handled by the same team that planned the trip
  • Replies 7 days a week, 8 AM – 8 PM PT
