Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat

We start our journey in Casablanca, the economic heart of Morocco. Our first destination is the stunning Hassan II Mosque, an architectural gem that overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. We’ll take time to explore both its interior and exterior. After our visit, we’ll enjoy a comfortable one-hour drive north to Rabat, the serene political capital. Once we arrive, we’ll dive into the city’s rich history. We’ll stroll through the evocative Chellah Necropolis, a site of ancient Roman and Merinid ruins. We’ll also visit the historic Hassan Tower and the gates of the Royal Palace. We will end our day with a relaxing walk in the beautiful Andalusian Gardens. Here, we can enjoy Rabat’s mix of history and modern culture.
Day 2: Rabat – Meknes – Fes

Today, we head inland, traversing a variety of landscapes on our way to Fes. Our first stop is Meknes, often called the "Versailles of Morocco," where we take in the impressive Bab el-Mansour gate. Next, we go to the sacred town of Moulay Idriss. It is located on a hilltop. After that, we will explore the Roman city of Volubilis, which is listed by UNESCO. Here, we stroll among the well-preserved columns and mosaics, offering a fascinating glimpse into ancient Roman Africa. By late afternoon, we arrive in Fes. This city is known for its medieval charm and beautiful mosaic buildings. The lively souks add to its appeal. We check into our luxurious hotel.
Day 3: Fes Guided Tour

Experience a real sensory journey in Fes el Bali. It is the largest car-free area in the world and the spiritual heart of Morocco. Our guided tour will take you through winding alleyways. You will discover the Al-Qarawiyyin University, the oldest university still in operation. You can also admire the detailed craftsmanship of the Attarine Medersa. Check out the bright colors of the Chouara Tanneries (make sure to get some mint!). Visit the famous Moulay Idriss Mausoleum. As the day unfolds, the landscape transforms dramatically. We descend into the breathtaking Ziz Valley, where vast groves of date palms blanket the ground, signaling our approach to the desert. We reach the gateway town of Erfoud by late afternoon.
Day 5: Erfoud – Merzouga Sahara

Our journey to the Sahara starts with an exploration of the region's rich history. We visit the sacred city of Rissani and the ancient Ksar Abbar ruins. Next, we go to Khamlia village. This village is known for its people who moved from sub-Saharan Africa. Here, we enjoy a wonderful performance of Gnawa spiritual music. Upon reaching Merzouga, the true adventure unfolds. As the sun sets, we mount our camels for a tranquil trek across the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes. The profound silence envelops us as the dunes shimmer in hues of gold and amber. We reach our luxury desert camp. It's just in time for a traditional Berber dinner. We enjoy this meal under a beautiful sky filled with stars.
Day 6: Erg Chebbi Dunes – Dades Gorge

An early start rewards us with a breathtaking Sahara sunrise—an unforgettable experience. After breakfast, we either ride camels or take a 4x4 to meet our driver. Our journey then heads west along the renowned "Road of a Thousand Kasbahs." Our first major stop is the stunning Todra Gorge, where towering canyon walls rise 300 meters above us. We take a moment to stroll through the cool gorge and admire the charming Berber villages along the way. As we go through Tinjdad, we head to the Dades Gorge. This place is known for its stunning rock formations and winding river road. We will spend the night there.
Day 7: Dades Gorge – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

A highlight of our day is visiting the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou. This ancient village is made of mud bricks, called ksar. It has been featured in major films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After lunch, we will go up the Tizi Ntichka Pass. This is the highest major mountain pass in North Africa.
