Borj Nord Museum

A Portuguese-era fortress turned arms museum, perched on the hill above the medina with a panorama that quietly reframes the city below.

The collection moves through centuries of Moroccan military history — swords, rifles, cannons and armour gathered from across the region and beyond. The objects are serious and well-presented, but it is the rooftop that lingers: a broad, unhurried view over the rooftops and minarets of Fes el-Bali, best appreciated in the softer light of late afternoon.
