Hercules Caves
West of Tangier where the Atlantic meets the land, the Caves of Hercules open to the sea through a mouth shaped, it's said, like the map of Africa. Legend holds the hero rested here between his labours; today you'll walk the echoing chambers as waves surge through the opening. Mythic and photogenic, it's a favourite excursion along the wild Cap Spartel coast.
